heh..
was looking into ways to get a thin layer of titanium metal on indium tin oxide (ITO) glass,
and found this article.

it appears that it could work, by putting the tungsten electrode just in front of the ITO so that the titanium fuses with it due to the high temperature without degrading the ITO too much.

anyone ever tried this?

I used titanium (IV) oxide and fused that onto the tin oxide surface in my anthocyanin solar cell experiments.

I didn't use indium, which might have been better, because I didn't have any. I made a dilute solution of Tin(II) chloride and put it in a spray atomiser bottle, so that I was able to coat a microscope slide with a fine mist. I let the slides dry, and then give them a good roasting which fused the tin oxide created into the surface of the glass. As for the titanium, I used the common dioxide, and fused that onto the conductive surface under the grill.

I found blackberry juice from brambles in the garden to be very effective with it.

Good man! smile I was just thinking of buying some indium, as I'd like to test my skills against In-115's unimaginably long half-life - much longer than the age of the universe! smile Will I be able to detect such layed back instability? I honed up my skills on Rb-87, which at 670Bq/gm is as lively as a hornet's nest by comparison with the natural isotopes of indium and rhenium.

I'm also after some samarium, which has three naturally occuring long lived isotopes, that might stand out well in a cloud chamber - as alphas tend to do.

I could swap for POPOP and/or dimethyl POPOP, some of the inorganic scintillators, or what have you.
