Many webpages said that H2O2 can be concentrate to 62% by freezing.I tried to put a bottle of 30% H2O2 into my fridge but it didn't freeze. Why?

Thanks

Why do you think it would freeze in the fridge?

We have had this question before, look up what was said then. If you don't know the answer to all the relevant questions you should not try to concentrate H2O2.

You need to search the forums for hydrogen peroxide, and possibly check the archives. Secondly, you need to freeze it, as in the freezer not the frigid, thirdly, although I have not attempted this method I would say it would be a pain considering you must continually scrape off the water crystals.. unless its possible to simply let it freeze completely and it wouldn't be cold enough for the h2o2 to freeze then you can just pour to separate. I doubt it is this easy as rarely anything is but I could be wrong, do your research.

I have searched already but I can't find it.

Accually I put it in the freezer(the thine that make ice) but it didn't freeze.Sorry I confused these two words because my mother language is not English.

Here is one thread, I just searched the archives for H2O2 and there it was:
Link2

The freezing point of 30% H2O2 is probably below -25 deg C so there is no guarantee that it will freeze in your freezer. Some short term freezers only go down to -12 deg C.

It's much easier to boil it. I've made 80% from 10 bottles of 3%. It's nasty stuff to say the least.

You would either be rediculously gung-ho, or unaware of the hazards of distilling off water from high test peroxides to concentrate. The safest way is to freeze concentrate, followed by just buying it. Heating to concentrate hydrogen peroxide is like finding the melting point of an explosive compound.

I know heating H2O2 is extremely dangerous.
I have ever seen a news report that a man attempt to suicide by heating H2O2 on propane burner and the result is the h2o2 blew up the whole apartment room.
So I will never try to boil H2O2

A lot of things like that are dangerous. However, if done correctly, the danger can be minimized. Of course when I boiled it, it was outside, away from flammable things, and on a hot plate. No open flames anywhere.

But if you want a safer option, you can always buy it. There used to be a website that sold 90% by the gallon cheaply, but they closed business 10 days ago. Link2
