Where are you based? Even in nanny state UK you can buy concentrated sulphuric acid if you know where to look. My local plumbers merchant sells 96% for drain clearing, it often goes under a trade-name though. I can also get concentrated hydrochloric from a local builders merchant (used for cleaning excess cement off brickwork). Some car battery wholesalers MAY have conc. sulphuric as they receive the batteries in bulk empty and fill them with acid before sending them on to retailers. Often they will only have diluted (battery) acid but some of them dilute it themselves
