ZVS Driver paralleled is it possible? I have 10 IRFP460's coming by the end of the week I was just curious if I could do such a thing because I am still doing the two or three and even four series ed fly back deal. I know you could do this with one driver but it would share current and would not be as cool as it would be with two driver's.
And this is semi OT to this but why is the core on this fly back so big is it for high current I got it out of a huge photo copier and I can get allot more if they are any good for a ZVS.
Oh by the way I used the Heat gun technique I learned from here to get it off works great even for I.C's.

Those will crank - However do you see how sharp the core is as it makes it's "C" shape? That creates a real pain because it rubs on the primary's wire. Put some Teflon plumber's tape on very tightly and neatly, otherwise you'll rub off the insulation w/ magnet wire and you'll find many other types just don't fit.

Is there a way to get a ZVS to oscillate on 5V and use a second PSU for the transformer I know other ZVS setups use 12V for osculation and whatever for the fly back well long story short can I change resistor values for 5V. The reason is that I made a 5V fixed regulator that can handle up to 30Vin 5Vout Fixed.

yes you can parrallel multiple fly backs, but youmust build tyhem as moidules, then usea common load share bus.
read this first, before you do ANYTHING. itwill explain what you need to be carfule about.
]slup207.pdf[/file] its 31 pages, but super dooper important for your succes. mostly u needto be careful about your feedback, youllprobly need to use feedback windings from the core, so youll regulate the volt*seconds or volts per turn instead of regulating the 30,000v outbut via resistor division.
