Im not good at the text based schematics but, I will try. The coil on the left is a NST (7500v 30mA 225VA) and the coil on the right is the work coil with iron+aluminum+steel shavings as the core. There is no rhyme or reason as to the composistion of the core. >< is a spark gap. % is a capacitor which is resonant with the NST. Would this work in the slightest bit? I am not looking for a complete melt just a noticable increase in temperature. BTW yes this is a modified TC with the HV secondary swapped out for a piece of metal.
