Pseudospark refers to a type of electrical discharge that takes place in a hollow cathode spark gap device that works in a partial vacuum. . It is usually used as a high voltage switch or an electron beam source.
The "Bell Jar" News Letter has an article on building one for use as a beam source. They call it a multiplate chamber beam source and it can be found in volume 2 #4 and volume 3 #1. To see an illustration of one on the web, check this link
Anyway, I'm planning to build one and I was wondering if any of you had any experience with them and could offer me some words of wisdom.
