For my project, i wanted to do resonant induction wireless power. Has anyone done it that can tell me how hard it is to tune/ get it to work? I only have basic parts, NO function generator or O'Scope. Is it feasible to get decent efficiency? I am not going for distance, 1ft would be great, and just enough power for a led.
If i get that to work, i would implement it into common items (like a computer mouse) and "evaluate" it, like efficiency, practicality, etc..
I havn't read much about RF wireless power, but would that be a good choice?

to start, note the entire section on this board dedicated to devices which were invented for this purpose, which you can easily build small scale - the Tesla Coil!
while not the most efficient, even a smaller coil can wirelessly light a flourescent light bulb (a popular demonstration of a tesla coil I might add)
what I might try, is to look into oudin coil design, which are commonly built much smaller and available for physics classrooms (though some are true tesla coils, but the difference between the two is very small: it is the layout of the primary coil) - the same devices were used in quack medical kits...

seems fine to me... (BTW, you don't have to use an SSTC if you don't know that, but it is much more stable choice since spurious emissions will be much lower, it will be quieter, and overall more efficient)...
