It's a great series. When they were originally on TV in the UK (Late 80s, early 90s time) my Dad recorded all the episodes and I used to watch them quite often (I was only 7-8 back then). However I loved it, and those programs are probably the single biggest thing that got me interested in electronics, HV, and just generally messing about with things.
In one of the episodes (I think TV) they have built a jacobs ladder and plasma globe from the flyback.
