The construction has started.
I obtained a QB5/1750 tube, WOW this thing is huge! I could not obtain anything in range of 833 which would be simpler ( i could copy somebody's design), but i will have to reinvent the wheel again (at least for me because my knowledge about tubes is limited)
In past i used the QB3.5/750 tube.
I will use my previous schematics
With modification as it will be needed. For filament i will use a SMPS and for high voltage supply a SMPS HV supply.

You could try a plasma tweeter built around this tube. Reaching did a higher power version of thishere. There are pics and descriptions in this link (to get to it you would go to projekte, VTTCs, Eimac 4-250A Hochfrequenzspule)

I will definitely use a staccato. I'm hoping to get at least 50 cm, any comments on this?

No, i strictly want long sparks

Looking at the schematic, why do you have 3.3kV caps where there is only 2.5V on transformer winding?
Because i was afraid of spikes, but maybe it was unecessary
