But the orgasmic nature of CARMINA BURANA, (Carl Orff) makes me listen to it very often.

If you think listening to it is orgasmic, take the time to actually go see the ballet. Whoa!

type O negative, humm....what about KMFDM

KMFDM have recently reached #2 on my last.fm page, though Emilie (see my avatar) is in no danger of being usurped from her place as #1. cheesey

As for a 4hv last.fm group, I suppose we could do that, but I don't think it's really necissary. After all, we already have a forum right here.

Whee! I'm finally getting somewhere with the programming. Just as well, it's only two weeks till the show dead

I attached a picture of the setup I have at home, which consists of a load of 19" rack synths and effects units. The idea is that once I've programmed these, I can take a couple of them to the gig and drive them off a laptop with a MIDI interface.

Also here is a mp3 of my most successful groove so far: Link2

I am green with envy.

Portrait Small

That mp3 was cool, I assume you're going to be using that for your upcoming gig?

Update: I finished the programming, got the gear together and had a trial run through the set. It seemed to work OK, but could be better in places. Tonight is the last practice before the gig confused

I'll record the gig and I guess I can post a link to it, if anyone can be bothered downloading a 45 minute MP3. I have a site hosted by Chris with enough space, and it seems fast enough to let you stream to Winamp in real time.

Gear:
Marshall distortion pedal
Novation Super Bass Station analog synth
Home-made (by someone else, not me) TB-303 clone
Yamaha A4000 sampler with 64MB RAM and 5GB hard disk
Numark DJ mixer
IBM ThinkPad 600E laptop running Win98 and Cubase VST
iRiver MP3 player running Rockbox (I need that to play a couple of tracks that need more equipment than what I can bring, shh don't tell anyone)
Old Sony Mini disc machine for recording the gig

Lol no, I don't want to burn the place down suprised I heard of one UK coiler who brought his big spark-gap coil to an outdoor rave down in the south of England. Apparently it never caused any trouble with the sound and lighting systems and the crowd loved it. I guess his secret is: He put those clamp-on ferrite suppressors on all the cables where they meet at the spark gap electrodes.

Cool! My band was supposed to play a gig this friday, but it got cancelled : (
I listen to lots of different stuff, but mostly metal:
Lamb of God, Black Sabbath, Mastodon, Ozzy (the stuff from when he had Randy Rhoads), Black Label Society, older SOAD stuff, some Manson, and the old Avenged Sevenfold albums where he doesn't sound so whiney. I'm starting to get into some other stuff, though, like Pixies and Infected Mushroom.
