yay! no more problems.
but now i want to build another zvs flyback driver to power my fully enclosed jl. i have 6 identical caps laying around rated for .68uF 250v~ is this an ok voltage (im not going to run the driver at 300w or anywhere near that, probably more like 150w or less). it says in the diagram that they need to be greater that 250v~, and im not sure how caps in parallel/series work (could i get more volts putting them in series or parallel or a combination?)

I would use 2 of those caps in parallel; and if they get too hot during operation replace them with a 3 in parallel by 2 in series string (but at 150w I don't expect you to have problems). As long as they are not electrolytic I wouldn't worry about it.

there is an easy fix to that; just wind on on the exposed part of the core! With the zvs drive it is actually required as you need a center tapped primary. I am glad to hear that skmetal7 got his working

oh i know! but those internal primaries typically do not have a load on them. so you could see as much as 10kv on those primaries (depending on your switch topology, ratios, and input voltage)
any way, i can garentee the manufacturers of those flybacks didnt design them o stand off that voltage.

well it works but my diodes arent the best, so i found some in a computer PSU, i want to know how to connect them, since the middle pin is the cathode, will i only be able to use 2 pins on each diode?

hi they are common cathode diodes? if so, you can actually tie the tqo annodes together and use both diodes ive done this and found it to be pretty usefull
