Continued from here

I am running 1280x2048@32bit dual display split top/bottom the bottom a 19" envision lcd and the top half a vintage 1995 sony 16" rackmout crt. The lcd is on my desk, and the crt is about 10' directly behind it next to the workbench. My stero is hooked it to the computer, and the speakers are on either side if the lcd. The bottom half is displaying winamp's milkdrop visualization, and is my primary desktop. The top is the normal windows desktop that I put programs that just sit there (like aim/mikrobaisc/etc) or when I am working on something near the lcd. The desktop is a dell dimension 4600 with a gforce4 that we got refurbished from dell for like $400, the crt is one my dad pulled out of the dumpster at where he works, and the lcd is a chepo $200 one that I got for christmas. My laptop (inspiron 600m that I got for christmas 2 years ago) still just has the blue windows background on it.

I'm was going to be an absolute rebel like everyone else and set a scantily clad femme fatale as my background, but didn't want to have to get rid of it afterwards or get strange looks from my family (computer is in the kitchen), so you guys will have to make do with it just behind a 4hv.org window. You can see a bit of hair and a bit of left-boob, you'll have to make do wink. It's not like me anyway..

And yes, my picture of my desktop includes a picture of a picture of my desktop, cascading away endlessly =)

*yawn*
I knew someone would revive this thread..

I know at least 1 person from the forums (cjk2) will recognise the wallpaper - I stole it from the rendering thread shades Looks great on my desktop.

I have three computers: Chimera, Shrike, and Jacana. Chimera is a 533MHz G4 running MacOS 10.4.4, it's currently off-line. While it was up, it had a nice second LCD purely for IRC. Shrike is a Mini ITX MII 1200 running Debian linux, it's just handy to have as a second computer, it doesn't do much right now. Jacana is my main box, an AMD Athlon XP 2800+. It runs Ubuntu linux. The blue thing in the corner of Jacana's screen is amaroK's OSD. amaroK is almost as sexy as the girl on my desktop.
