For the past few days the forum has been loading really slow cry

When I click on a link (in either IE of Firefox) it will sit for a while 'waiting for 4hv.org' then it will load just as fast as any other site

I don't think the problem is realted to my internet connection, as I get pings in the .09s-.2s range, and get transfers in the 100kB/s to 400kB/s.

Does anyone else have this problem? Fir a while it was just when I tried to submit a post, but now it seems to have spred to all of the forum angry I don't notice the problem with any other sites...

i have been experiencing this since the new 4hv started. and it happens no matter which computer i use (my house, work, friend's house, etc...)

Almost like the site "lock-ups" up for about 10-20 seconds (esp. for long threads) and then will completely load.

I was using internet explorer in the lab and nothing really loaded, then I tried fire fox and it sped up considerably. I think the newer scripting gives older software a headache, but I could be wrong.

Try tracert 4hv.org on the commandline and see if there are any timeouts. When it has been slow for me there have been timeouts somewhere along the route.

I dont have a problem with it loading. but once it is loaded, IE stops responding for about 5~8 seconds.
I dont have a problem when I connect through the linux lab at school.

No problems here-- Firefox running on Ubuntu, over a cable connection. Loads as quickly as the rest of the intrawebs.

I havent had any problems at home or at work. There is a slight delay loading initially but its only about ~2-4 seconds. I have left the forum up on the screen for several days before and havent experienced any lag or problems throughout the duration.

hmm, I tried doing a tracert and besides a timeout between my router and my ip (which is there for any site I ping) there is like 15 hops in the 100ms range... Seems reasonable, but I still can't figure out where the 10-20s dealy is coming from cry

I tried telling google web accelerator to prechach the links so I could just use them, but it was only giving me the main forum.php so it wasn't much use. Now I have it disabled...

I've also experienced the "delay" problem - sometimes the site locks up for ~5-10sec and then it loads, sometimes it loads, then locks up (when scrolling down).
However, the delay seem to dissapear when I jump between forums/threads quickly...
