I like the high speed camera...and his site inspired my TC work in the beginings.

I also vote for Mike Harrison. I love the crazy stuff he puts on his site like the jacob's-ladder-o-phone of fire and the fact that he actually not only goes to the trouble to build this stuff but also to put it online.

I would also like to nominate myself for "Nerd of the Neaptide," but I suppose that title would go to someone who can actually remember what a neaptide is...

I concur. It was the work of mike, the 2 steves, rayer and a few others that started me on this path to destruction also.

From memory, isn't it when the sun and moon work together to make the tide?

(Just checked, it's the opposite. :-@ No nerd award for me.)

He even has that rarest of geek qualities, a sense of humour, that manifests itself in devices like the Destructotron and the Jacob's Ladder-o-Phone Of Fire.

I have a sense of humor too! Therefore I nominate my self for this week. I also destroy things. I am NOT going into details. ill
