Part Scavenger:
How many would I need for a small TC? If it's not too many, I would probably be willing to buy some.

That depends on what you're doing. About 6-10 for a smallish-med DRSSTC, about 10-12 for an NST based coil? IF you look on Steve Ward's site, he uses these. That should give you some idea.

And I gotcha down, ReddyK.

At this point, I don't think I can afford it. If you ever do it again though, I'll most definitely be in.

Allrighty.

NEW DEVELOPMENT:

I called the Rell folks again. My girl Jennifer says that while the internet site says the leaded ones are in stock, this is a misprint and they are not in stock. I confirmed once again that they will give us the 2.58 price, and they will be getting a shipment next week. Unfortunately, Rell is not open on saturday, so we will have to push the deadline back to Monday. If I order first thing they will ship the same day. I am going out of town at the end of next week, that's why I wanted to get this order in sooner. Don't worry, your capacitors will be safe, my aunt lives next door; but I won't be able to distribute until I get back. Maybe this will give you guys time to get money together. But if all goes well, I'll get them out before I go.

Now that you are buying later, I think I can afford those caps. I found a great deal on some caps in a local warehouse (AS&S, perfect for a CG, not so much for a TC). Count me in for ten.

Hahaha I just realized what happened. I would have been in on this on the old forum but then we found out Allied only had the lead-free caps. I didn't realize it meant the element lead instead of axial leads... So i bought 42L's instead angry
