I think I made a mistake, but mabye someone can explain this....My meter doesn't have continuity testing so I set it to 200K Ohms. When I test between the anode/cathode it reads 33.6K Ohms BUT when I switch it to Diode check It reads that the SCR is fine and theres no connection. SO I don't know what to think..

Ohmmeter must be on lowest scale (200 ohms) to give good reading, or just use diode meter for that. Ohmmeter can give bad readings as voltage on probes usually doesnt exceed diode threshold (600 - 700milivolts) But if it reads resistance its obivously not good. Best way to test it is to hook it to small bulb and give some small current (trough resistor) to gate. It must remain in on state after that if not shorted od disconnected from supply.

Like this.. <Be sure to use strong enough bulb and source as you might be fooled by ohms law. In one side SCR must start to conduct when you touch gate with resistor and remain conducting after that, in other side it must not conduct in any way...
