Well I dont know if this issue was already mentioned, if so I apologise.
It almost always happens to me that when making a new post/reply, I click on on the "Click to open/close emoticon dialog" and I'm presented with a small empty window.
It sometimes works but most of the time it doesn't. I guess, it's a bug in the forum's software?

The foum software has thousands of bugs like the one Steve ran into where BBCode makes no sense inside code tags so it is not impossible that it is the forum software that messes up.

It could also be your browser or even graphics driver. Has anyone else had this problem?

They appear fine for me in Firefox 2 and IE7, but I seem to remember that an old machine running IE6 displayed the empty window that jmartis saw.

I think the smiley window is powered by Javascript, and different browsers all have different Javascript quirks. It may also be to do with security settings in IE6.

I usually just type the smileys directly: smile suprised ill

Probably not related, but, until some time ago placing a smiley would cause cursor to disappear.. I don't know if anyone else had this problem.

While on smilies these two have the same code. Cheesey Grin Not that it matters anymore with the new forum under planning.
