Hi
After the R&D in this thread, I again went to push my limits. I owned this neat looking small box and tought it would be cool to build the circuit into it.
I created this dimmer after a lot of hassle and SMD work. I didn't bother to etch any PCB's since thing is still pretty much in prototype stage, and there are a lot of things I need to get better...

The heatsink is cut out of a piece of Aluminium. It's actually just a heat spreader to prevent a hot spot building at position of the triac, and provides some mechanical support (although not too well, since Al was too soft and hard carve threads in).
