After the R&D in this thread, Link2
I again went to push my limits. I owned this neat looking small box and tought it would be cool to build the circuit into it.

I created this dimmer after a lot of hassle and SMD work. I didn't bother to etch any PCB's since thing is still pretty much in prototype stage, and there are a lot of things I need to get better...

Very nice! Compact, to say the least. Oh, and blackplasma? I would reckon the heatsink is a chunk of scrap aluminum sheet cut into shape.

The heatsink is cut out of a piece of Aluminium. It's actually just a heat spreader to prevent a hot spot building at position of the triac, and provides some mechanical support (although not too well, since Al was too soft and hard carve threads in).

You don't want to see how the underneath of the board looks ill
