to complete my logic work for this week i build a quick and nice frequency counter which can count any sinusodial square and sawtooth signal from 100hz up to 999,9khz with a accuracy of 0,1%..
a 3,2768mhz crystal is wired up with a 74hc4060 to divide the signal by 16384. the 200hz signal is then fed into a 7474 d flip flop which generates a 50hz signal. the 50hz is used to define the count and display time of 10mS. a 74hc14 is used to square up the input signal which is then fed into a 74hc00. the nand switches the input signal for a time of 10mS. The counter decade of 4 4026 7 segment display drivers count the signal and so on..
I worked out the shematic, the pcb layout and build it and tested it within a single day.. shematic comes soon.. I think its a good project for those who are not very familar in logic or have a use for a simple and small counter
