they look ok to me but i havent seen scrs with those specs in that small of a package

we need way more info about your system...

It would work great for a little photoflash coilgun, and it would explode if you try to fire a 5KJ bank with it.

They MAY only be 200v @ 55A? I think right, forgot the the amp rating, either way if you paralleled them and trigged them at once shouldn't that work as well, I saw on a different site the guy tried it and I think it worked.

well i have been thinking of making a many staged coilgun and i saw these i know its only rated for 200v but i think i can hand 550 amp surges if i get some lower voltage high capacity caps i think it would work great.... i just wasnt sure because they seem pretty small for their ratings

generally you will want more voltage than 200V, for a faster pulse, especially on the last few stages of a multi stage design.

They would be good on hybrid multistage designs using an scr per stage and an igbt or mosfet on the cathodes. My new pistol is using this design though i am using 800V scrs and 600V igbt with (330V capbank)
