I have nearly finished my Terry filter but have a mental block over the connection of the central ground
marked RF ground one end and NST ground the other - on the original circuit

I DON'T USUALLY CONNECT ANY GROUND TO THE NST ( is that corrct?)

My NST's are 3kv + 3Kv = 6kv at 30mA or 2kV + 2kV = 4KV at 100Ma
So far I have not run them with a Tesla only Jacobs Ladders
I DO HAVE A TESLA WAITING TO BE TRIED

Do I connect the RF ground to the Terry filter ?
If I do I will only get half power.

If I don't connect it the Safty Spark gap will not work as it is two pairs of electrodes with each pair having a common connection to earth - it would if I halved the gap???

IN ANY EVENT, I DON'T CONNECT THE HOUSE MAINS earth TO THE NST do I???

I can only tell you what I do.

First, the RF ground is totally separate. I have the secondary's wire go to a three foot rod that is buried in the ground and nothing else is connect to this.

The ground's on my NST are connected to another rod in the ground. The filter that that is connected to the NST has a common between the safety gap and capacitors. The common is connected to it's own ground rod. Finally, I have a sychronous gap and I have connected the motor housing to its own ground rod.

I don't know if I am being extra careful by using all separate ground rods for everything, but I do know that the secondary must have its own.

Anything 60Hz - low or high voltage can get hooked to house ground ---anything else RF ground and thats separate!!
