4 mot 6 inch coil done

This is my masterpiece. I have built 2 coils prior. A 4 inch dc resonant and a 3 inch nst. The specs are as follows:

6x23 winding height
4 mots wired for 220
58 nf mmc
shop air spark gap
11 turn primary 1/4 in

I have yet to wire up the power supply. I will probably have it running within a week. It took me about a months worth of work.

Well, I'm not sure how many kVA your going to run - but a fully loaded quad MOT stack could pull 7 kVA!!! Might consider an oil bath to keep those trannies cool. 1/4" primary is going to get quite warm from the current - I would have gone with 3/8" - 1/2" tubing myself... However you should get some decent sized sparks off the coil! best of luck...
