You did read the "no double posting" rule, right? I combined your multiple posts, in future please go figure out how to attach multiple files to a single post. Anyway, the coil looks pretty good! smile

alright... how come I can't delete my own posts or remove uploaded content? curious...

Anyways, the output of the coil should be 50" ... 12kV 120mA ??? what do you think?

you can't delete posts becuase it confuses people, to remove uploaded content you go edit your posts to remove the links, and then go here and click the delete button.

As to the output length, for a beginner coil you can't really expect full spark length... But you should get decently close to it...

thanks for the info... will keep this in mind for sure.

I only have 8 turns on my primary coil - and I'm thinking if I add a few more turns I might get better output? What do you think?

You need to tune the number of turns to match the primary cap you are using. Try using 7.5 primary turns, and see if it shortensthe output. If i does, then add more turns.

I put several more turns on the primary and increased the size of the toroid... and the spark length increase by 15" ---- WOW impressive!!
