Im looking for 1 doorknob capacitor, rated ~10kv, and having a capacitance between 400pf and 500pf for my first VTTC (single 811A) Anybody got a spare?

I'm hopeful to pick up a bunch at the TRW swapmeet this month. It's the last saturday of this month coming up soon if you can wait.

I need some for HV side line filters, but I will pick up several!

I think I can get them for about $1 ea. maybe $2. I know they're redicuously cheap. However I would still have to send them out to you, so it might translate to $5 each with the little box I have to send them in.
Ill see how many I can get. I'm sure they have the 10KV ones without a doubt.

If you find enough for yourself and they are pretty cheap, would you mind picking up two- one around 470pf if you can find one and one maybe around 680? If not, one is fine for sure, but if your looking anyway...
Thanks!

If that dosen't work out, I've got a 30kv ~500pf doorknob you can have for shipping cost.

Well, I was really disappointed. The guy who shows up with a bunch of stuff wasn't there, so I scrounged what I could.

Here's the tally

8 250pF 7.5KV
2 170pF 7.5KV
1 50pF 7.5KV
1 100pF 7.5KV

If you change your mind its okay. I paid ~ $2 each so I would charge $2 each, couse I need 4 of the 250pF for myself, but I think the other eight are up for grabbs. And have to add shipping too.

I would've used my 30KV doorknobs for a filter, but that's just a total waste.

Sorry hazmatt, but I think i want to go with the higher voltage ones just for a little extra headroom- all the schematics i see are for >10kv capacitors. If things don't work out with him though, and i find some more info on running with 7.5kv caps, I will let you know if you still have some of them left.
