why magnifier them don't work: are they still poorly constructed?

Hello,

if people understand French, here is an interesting link that questions the (bad) modern magnifier design.

to simplify,
rather than exporting the magnifier coil outside the oscillator, one must place the coil at the center of the primary and secondary as on the Tesla patent.

It may not be true, but I will try.

Tesla placed his extra coil (third coil) inside the primary and secondary because they were approximately 50 feet (15m) in diameter! There was no other place to put the extra coil in his Colorado Springs lab. Ideally the extra coil should NOT be magnetically coupled to the primary and secondary.

One of Richard Hull's magnifiers actually put the primary and secondary horizontal to the ground, which was 90° to the extra coil. This allowed the extra coil freely to resonant without being hampered from the tank. This is in essence the entire point of the magnifier...
1) primary and secondary are tightly coupled to allow faster energy transfer
2) the extra coil can resonate freely for maximum voltage gain

Look at this video: Link2
It is a magnifier design with primary, secondary and a third coil which is separated and hanged above ground. The output lightnings of the third coil (the small thing just beneath the big topload) are ridiculously huge compared to its size...

nice video, the moast awsom magifier is the Golka coil that I have seen pictures of "Largest Tesla Coil Ever Built Csanyigroup"

But the question is it a better tesla coil I have not seen that it more eficent. there used to be a some threads hear about it but it was lost

Hello, thank you for your response, and sorry for my late response.

I already knew all his reels mentioned in your message, it's funny that I found them all cited after.

Do you have an opinion on the comments of my "French colleague"?

Ps: The video is subtitled in English now!
