Now you see how part of your company operates, the tough decision is whether you decide to tough it out and hopefully this guy moves on, or go work for another division or company.

The hard part is up-rooting yourself when you are making decent money.

I don't make a lot of hard decisions that I probably should, I'm the "old reliable" sort that doesn't change easily, so I stick around through these conflicts and tough them out, unless I get let go.
I've been through a couple, seen people come and go, but I'm still here making decent money, so that's that.

Things that get pushed through with questionable motives always get highlighted, and are a serious cause for concern in an environment of tractability. Pray he moves on to other things.

The consequence of promoting these individuals is they can compromise a much bigger part of the product when they have more power to exert.

Don't seek moral support from strangers.

eport me as insubordinate. the problem for him is ive been meeting secretly with the program manager,

stands out , and I will forget , everything else.

If you are in a stressful situation affecting your work, or health /well being, the HR department
is where to go.

HR is not what you hope it is.

I wouldn't want to work anywhere where employees resort to petty vandalism. Not sure what the situation's like in the US, but over here engineers with experience are in short supply.
