Elliptical (Cauer) low pass filter with band stop notch at f=1/(2*pi*sqrt((1-m^2)*L*C)) and stop-band leakage of 1-m^2 if I did the math correctly.

Here is a normalised (L and C are both set to 1) plot of the frequency response with different values of m. w is the angular frequency (2*pi*f).
As WaveRider says it's a lowpass with a band stop notch.

Very interesting Patrick.

If I add a cap of correct value to my 'Pi' filter (see my power supply sim thread) it increases stability from 1mV to 200uV, an increase of x5.

I guess I should use non-polarised caps?
