Yes. But it can be hard to tell the difference between boiling and air bubbles being pulled out. If you don't have data on the potting compound maybe run a test to find the boiling pressure, then stay above that for your potting.

Im still investigating how to degas epoxy. Ive been looking at pall rings, dixon, rings and simple mesh. but i dont know how long the fluid should sit in high vacuum ? should it be minutes or hours or days ? it sounds like the degassing only takes place very near the vacuum fluid layer, hence the need for packing rings.
