Your transformer secondary will give X amps at X volts. Dividing V/I will give effective impedance. Match the primary capacitor bank to this value, at 50Hz. If the transformer see an impedance of this value it will delivery the rated voltage and current. Method has always worked wel for me in the past

Hm. I have calculated the transformer to give me 13800V at 100mA, but, it is a transformer, it gives a lot more than that in short circuit for example. I'm not really sure what are the numbers that thing is producing with a 4.66mH inductor in series with the primary. I need to find a way to measure mA on the secondary.

By doing that math without considering the series inductor, I get 138kohms. So for primary bank, I need 19.2216nF.

Ohhh just noticed, that is what Tesla map says, but it also say we should use greater values to avoid dangerous voltage rising on the primary by ressonance effects. Not sure which way to go. Well I already ordered some capacitors for a better MMC. But it will take some days or weeks to arrive.

Thanks Graham.

That value of 20nF sounds about right. You want to go way bigger in breakdown voltage than the peak transformer voltage because of resonant voltage rise. Double at least IMO. Check out kaizer power electronics MMC calculator.
