Hi all,

My name is Ton DaiKen Akveld, I am from The Netherlands. I have been interested in Tesla coils for quite some time. Decennia ago I studied electronics, medcine and spent most of my working life in IT management. Nowadays I am a zen teacher and just bought a small musical Tesla coil, which started my appetite to (finally) start building one myself. Currently I am reading a lot on the subject and found the book 'The ULTIMATE Tesla Coil Design and Construction Guide' by Mitch Tilbury which I bought years ago.

My goal is to build a musical Tesla coil like the ones Mads Barnkob and Gao Guangyan did. Their coils are my examples.

Hope to learn from and contribute to this forum a lot!

Kind regards,

Ton DaiKen

welcome aboard, you'll stumble and blunder your way into success like the rest of us, if you stick too it.

Welcome aboard Ton. smile
I would like to make a musical Tesla coil too, but I don't think I understand enough about circuits yet.

With solid state tesla coils, dont bet on it.

Thanks for the links. smile
I would have to start with a very small coil, because I don't have much space and also I want to keep it reasonably safe.
