To all friends of antique Geissler tubes

The picture shows a complex shaped Geissler tube.

Unfortunately, the corresponding metal cap with eyelet is missing during a contact.
Please, does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Best regards

Maybe use conductive wire glue to stick on a wire or metal contact?

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Highly-Conductive-Wire-Glue-Paint-for-AC-DC-NO-Soldering-Iron-free-post/281675944709?hash=item419531d305:g:9yYAAOSwEeFU4f6Y

I haven't done that, so I don't know for certain if it would be suitable, but I don't see why not. Probably worth using the genuine brand of Wire Glue.

I have some Geissler tubes with the same problem. I managed to light them up by putting wet paper on the ends (not recommended!). I won't do that again because it might damage the remaining bits of the contacts, so I might try the wire glue method.

Some sort of conductive tape (eg copper) sold for nuking slugs without harmful chemicals?

Also conductive epoxy may work but I'd be concerned about heat build-up due to resistance.
Perhaps use silver car demister repair liquid and tape the wires around it while its wet then use more to secure them.#
Once dry Epoxy over that.

The copper tape is probably only conductive on the copper side, not on the adhesive side. I have used copper tape for projects and soon discovered that sticking it to a wire does not create a conductive path.

The car demister repair liquid could work.

What worked well for me, fixing scratches in a window defogger grid, was Permatex 15067. A one-part lacquer that makes a tan or copper colored line. Years later, the unused material had become a hard lump in the tiny tiny bottle. Reconstituted with some solvent, it did its job repairing a potentiometer element that had cracked or burned out near one terminal.

There's a different class of product (e.g. Loctite 21351) sold as "rear window defogger tab repair adhesive", with two different fluids. I have no experience with that.

A cats whisker detector with the contact spring sharpened, or a glass rod with a
platinum wire end (for flame tests) might do.

I hope to have found a usable electrically conductive adhesive now
to solve the problem with the one contact (missing metal cap with eyelet).

What is the problem? Is the glass cracked?
