A DIY surveyor's tripod

Yesterday I dug out my home-built surveyor's tripod,
for a level check using a cheap pendulum-type laser level.

Using crutches is not my own idea. I made the tripod more than 25 years ago. It's very solid, stable, and strong enough to sit on.
