I need a large one around 600mm x 150 (or larger)

Does anyone know of a good supplier?

Our metal spinners in New Zealand have only ever made small ones around 300-400mm in diameter.

I might have to make do with semi rigid ducting, but i would prefer something smoother.

TIA

There are only 3 I know of

Eastern Voltage Research < I bought their largest one, I was wonderful.

Information Unlimited < very similar products, pricing is similar

Ross Engineering Corporation < they have every size imaginable, but be prepared to pay for it, they are not cheap. You will have to email for a price schedule.

Information unlimited seem to have a good range, but the cost is pretty high, especially after currency conversion and freight etc.

Ive been in touch with a local machine shop who will be able to make me the pattern for sending to the metal spinners who will be able to make me toroids for only $120 NZD each!
So im probably looking around $500 including the finished toroid and pattern to make more!

I wish the chinese would produce these, as we could get them real cheap from there.

They do produce them:

You can buy bigger ones by contacting them too :). But usually you need to buy 100 of them or more. :)

Yes i had looked on alibaba, and saw smaller toroids available and they could make me some, but yes i had to pay to make tooling and buy 100 of the things to get what i want. Someone like eastern voltage research could do well from this.

I take it that you got yours made locally?
Im needing a similar sized toroid to the ones you are using on your coils. :)

If you're seriously looking at getting toroids made in NZ then send me a PM - could be interested in one myself. I used semi rigid ducting (think I ordered it from Corey's Electrical), but it dents super easily and doesn't look amazing.

OK, sounds good.
I will be getting the metal spinners making them exclusively for me as i will be the owner of the forms.
I will be able to get you one made a darn sight less than importing from overseas.

What size do you need?
Im looking somewhere around 600 x 160

Once i get the quote i will be able to tell you how much i can get you one made for.
