Two transformers (once rectified) Can't be connected in opposite polarity. As you have realized the diodes all conduct. You can have two floating separate power supplies and ground each one alternately with an active switch (your mosfet stack). But this is just a rearranged half bridge with a dual supply.
I understand you want to design your own version of the Belkhe black box's, so anyone know their secret? Like have they done it with some custom wide spaced opto couplers, or a well constructed / multiple transformer drive. Perhaps something different that's not widely used.

Yes, i should have said, i was going to use two closely spaced insulated wires, each connected to a + or - transformer. This way they wont kill each other.

EDIT: i dont know what a "Belkhe black box's" is, and cant find a mention of it on the great internets.

I was just using the term "black box" to describe something that you do not know what goes on inside of.
The HV switch modules made by Belkhe in JohnF's picture also are black and kind of rectangular in shape.

well, i suppose, since i cant patent it.

im trying to get air to move from an undulating + then - field. if properly phased id like to see if it works or not. it would have to be primed with corona of course.

Well, I was researching 'ion sources' before I joined this forum. The usual procedure in that case is to ionise the 'gas' and apply +ve to one electrode and -ve to another, the positive ions go towards the cathode and -ve ions (usually electrons) go towards the anode.

This is what I'd assume would happen in your case, but maybe I'm missing something?

nope thats my plan, but i want the polarities of the corona ions to alternate.

I'm having some difficulty visualising this. If the plasma is between two electrodes at different polarities, there will be a potential gradient between them.

TC's and plasma globes work, I think, due to a capacitance effect (and a 'return path' through the atmosphere), but I'm having difficulty visualising exactly where what you propose fits into my. possibly limited, understanding of these phenomena.

More info would be appreciated wink
