Here are some recent photos at a birthday party I went to. When in doubt, bring the VDG out.
First picture is my son, Michael and myself, and the second is one of my relatives.
Enjoy!

I wonder if lit candles on a cake behave any differently when that cake is sitting on a metal sphere charged to 500-600kV? smile There's one for next year, I guess! Or how about those party blowers and hats with tassles?

I'm still waiting for somebody to post a picture of their cat sitting on top of their VDG. A black cat with fur sticking out in every direction would be very "seasonal" right about now...

Regards,
Aaron, N7OE

Do you have a pic of your VDG posted on your website or maybe somewhere else? With temperatures and humidity dropping, it has got me thinking about my machine again. Just curious.

Also, have you measured the short circuit current between upper & lower brushes? My machine will do 30-35 microamps on average but it's been a while. I hope to modify it and get it to 50 someday.

I don't have a pic handy, but regarding temperatures and humidity, ironically is was raining outside and pretty warm.
