Yay for British weather. Just north of London, the clouds got slightly more depressed looking. Is it the eclipse? Maybe. Then a few minutes later it got a slightly brighter grey, so yes, it was!
Roll on 2026. I think I'll give the 2090 one a miss!

I was lucky to catch a glimpse of the solar eclipse, as many areas were covered in clouds here too. My previous experience back in 1999 was complete, in the 2 minutes of total eclipse there was no clouds at all, so I’ll think to skip the 2090 event.

The true testament of the Britians and their love for tea.
Apparently the disappointment of the solar eclipse from the weather caused a power surge from Britians turning on their kettles for tea or turning on the TV.
