Hi, just thought I'd like to share this. Have found evidence of a 15% resistance drop corresponding to a possible 1% superconducting state at 281K (around 8C) in pyrolytic graphite doped with lead (Pb). I used MEK from pipe jointer to hyperporate the graphite and PbSnBi alloy as the lead source, also meter probe contaminated with Pb also worked when in the solvent, out of solvent it slowly recovers. My working hypothesis is that the mechanism is bipolaron, balanced electron hole pairs behaving like Cooper pairs in the lattice ie Type III superconductor.
It also seems to work with Humbrol Liquid Poly, however does NOT work with either heptane (?) from superglue accelerant in a little syringe or pure acetone. Only a mixture of MEK and acetone has any effect.
Also a possibility here is that the MEK is acting as the "glue" in a composite allowing the Pb to interact with the graphite in the absence of oxygen; I've noticed that when making conducting adhesives the conductivity change occurs in steps with the tyre adhesive and doesen't follow a linear pattern like you might expect. The acetone might be stripping the oxide off the graphite and lead particles as well so this could be why the effect hasn't been noticed before with either pure acetone or pure MEK.

Feel free to try this, and report back. It could be a significant discovery but replication is most important now.
EDIT: Anyone attempted a replication yet? It seems that my hypothesis about the MEK/acetone stripping off the surface oxide of the lead might be correct. A possible experiment to try would be dipping pyrolytic graphite in a lead acetate solution and applying a voltage to see if this yields a material that shows zero resistance below 8C without the solvent.
EDIT 2:
It is entirely possible that my material might be showing a GMR-like effect if so.
An interesting experiment to try would be using magnesium, indium and lead MgIn2Pb alloy in place of iridium, to see what that does to the magnetic field density.
