they store it in small quantities at a same time, never more than a dozen 1L bottles, and not in a supplier quantity
this is a completely different matter if tanks are stored inside a hall where machinery is used to load and unload content and where concentration in air can raise till the next time you open the door
I have worked several times in places where they stored solvents in moderate quantities inside vented halls, and even in vented halls all the automation was to be ATEX and close access was restricted
there are local regulations regarding storage of solvents in such a quantity, this is certain, and they might require ATEX if those chemicals are manipulated at the place of storage...
it might be different if the containers are sealed and content is not accessible during storage/displacement, though

I will have the acetone in a separate building, it has to be brick for the fire regs, and signage. There won't be any power in the storage shed, I suppose the design will have to take in account for a forklift.
I received the chemical specs off hopefully a client, and forwarded it to the test lab.
