Copper seals, with 'knife edges' should be adequate here. Contrary to popular belief, they can generally be re-used five or six times.
(silver, or silver plated seals are also quite common, but probably not required here)
copper seals are definitely good for UHV I mentioned indium because I don't have a choice since my seals are already o-rings and indium could be used as a direct replacement for elastomer o-rings. I can't use copper seals since they require the knife edges. Indium can be crushed between flat surfaces to make a seal.

OK, I'm with you now. Gold wire is also often used in a similar manner, for one-off seals and specialist applications. You just join the ends and anneal it. I think I also read somewhere that someone had 'improvised' a seal using copper wire in a similar way.
