The most important problem was a damaged logic chip (one of over 500 parts in there) causing a signal not to appear at the video-controller as it should, causing the whole system to stop working.
BTW, the thing had a list price of 10,600$ (in the 80s), thats without any plugins (abt. 1-2000$ per plugin) and options (installed: digital storage, HPIB, Macro programming).
