2mm of iron will block 99.94% of the radiation from a tube running at 50kV. Running the tube at 1mA should lead to a dose rate of around 5µR/s in the central beam axis.
1mm of lead will attenuate the same x-rays by a factor of around three million, and the resulting dose rate will be in the order of a few nR/s
These numbers come from calculations based on Tucker/Barnes x-ray tube spectra prediction algorithm and published attenuation coefficient tables.
