I am looking for a reputable source for a few spun toroids. I have seen a few places on the net, infounlimitied and John Freau's site. I would like to purchase a few different sizes, a small , medium, large toroid. Anyone have any good recomendations? I set my budget to 700.00

First try your Local sheet metal fabrication shop and talk with the old guys. You may luck out and find a real tinsmith. They may even be able to custom make stuff for you.
I know how it’s done, and it’s tricky to get consistent thickness etc. I have never tried it this way, as the thought of breaking an expensive machine for a small part seems a little too risky.
Hmmm, a crude construction technique is being worked out as we speak. I need to build a large sphere next week. So, I will let you know how it turns out. (It is still pretty heavy so far)

Yeah, the $280 one is a small one. The company I work for actually does business with Ross and I tried to sweet talk them down. I put the squeeze on the VP of sales to donate a sample. So we will see if he actually does. I told him to send me the biggest one he had. On another note I bought one topload (12"x3") from (shudder) infounlimited. I will post how it turns out.
