Well I bought an Uno last week and I was just curious what everyone's favorite Arduino projects are. So feel free to post them below, they can be projects you have made or ones you have found on the internet. I'll start it off with the the Arduino Phone:

I can't say it is really my favorite project, but I was always very fond of the data logger shield, before it went commercial.
What I like about the commercial product is that, at least for me, it is very affordable and easy to use. I use a lot of Arduinos and shields to teach school kids about microcontrollers and most of them are about 12ys old. Having a cheap Logger available, enables them to do all sorts of experiments on their own, from "does the light in the fridge really go out, when you close the door" to solar trackers and so on.
Even if you don't buy the shield, the software is still pretty useful to start tinkering with SD cards. The library is written in C++, so you can reuse with other µCs too.
