I think it depends on the conductive paint, if it's graphite or silver powder it should work. My experiments involve electroplating parts that are metalized with PVD sputtering. Silver works great, but has poor adhesion on glass, but, excellent adhesion on plastics, that's OK for me because my final goal is to work with plastics, not glass.

I have silver/copper/lead powdered compound (basically its some solder paste which has weared out and is unusable in its current state, but pasty enough to be mixed with adhesive)
I'll try to use it as a glass plating mix and electroplate in used etching solution
lead will be a problem, the idea is that whatever you plate on must not react with the plating solution, I think lead can reduce the CuSO4, lead being more reactive then copper.
