I have't seen a decent arc in a few months, I really need to make another driver, but what I can make that is very simple besides the ZVS/55/3055 circuit, and it has to be easy (also not the halogen transformer), is there anyway I can use TFT monitor circuitry to drive a flyback?
Anyway if any of you understand that, I need arcs and they have to be very easy to make.

How about a camera flash circuit charging a small (1uF) film cap then through a gas discharge tube (Which, rather confusingly, has the acronym GDT) into a pulse transformer? Not high current but you can get 50 - 60 kV out of them. You can also give yourself a bit of a shock seeing as it's such low power

As DarkCurrent said, mot and few caps, I have only 2 and it gives really big arcs, when stretched upwards I would say it's about 25cm or even more. This thing is scary.

That looks pretty good, better than I would have expected anyway. Maybe 20kV? I once made a circuit similar to the 3055 one but with parts from only the monitor. It was awful.
What's wrong with the ZVS driver anyway? All you need is some MOSFETs and you can build the rest with parts from the monitor circuit board. On a side note, I use a separate supply for the gate drive on my ZVS; it means I don't need zeners and I think it runs a little cooler. Can anyone see any advantages/disadvantages for separately powering the gates? Aside from needing 2 power supplies.
