How many of us are willing and able to try contacting each other on HF?

For a start reply to this thread with
Band available/GMT times available/Location

For me my first choice is

20m/20:00 to 05:00 weekdays/UK

Saturday and Sunday 20m is crowded with competitive folk.

Willing, but not currently able.

My station is sitting in a bunch of boxes pending a possible move next month. When I get it back up and running I'll be sure to look for you on the air! 20m is my favorite band as well.

Sulaiman,

Are you proposing a "ragchew" session or an opportunity to accumulate contacts for a "Worked All 4HV memebers" sort of thing?

Would you consider digi-modes on 30M? Tough for a round table discussion but a very cooperative band from a transatlantic propagation point of view.

Regards

I'd have to build a HF radio first (i doubt I can buy one :P) but I don't see the point of that if there is the IRC. It does sound like a cool idea though.

my initial intention was just to see what potential there is for an 'off the grid' 4hv network .. any band/mode, just not using any infrastructure.
I see no point in a competition.

Sorry for the delayed response, I was out of town at a hamfest ironically enough.

I also see no point in a competition never having been a fan of contesting or a paper collector. I am open to whatever band and mode works for everyone.

I just got my loop antenna back up and running, so I'm game on any band from 80m-20m. I'm not much for SSB, though. Anyone up for some JT-65 or psk31?

Either is fine on my end. I am also not much for SSB, too much silliness up there.

What do I need to go from CW or ssb to JT-65 or psk31?
is it just pc software and an audio interface?
