This is probably going to be one of the weirdest 'wanted' threads on the forum...but here it goes:
I'm after:

1) Orange electrical tape. Why orange? To resticker my dying rubiks cube.
I'm after something like this , but i don't have a CC, or a paypal acct cry . Had no luck finding any in Australia either...

2) 2 x Suitable decoupling caps (~800VDC 1uF) for use in decoupling on my DRSSTC full bridge. I'd order some, but RS-Australia wants $15/cap!!

I can pay for the two above using money order, but i'm hoping someone would donate to a fellow HV'er out of the generousity of their heart smile

[If anyone is interested, I can solve the cube in around 40secs smile ]

Only orange?
Provided you get any 6 unique colours wouldn't that be ok?

Instead of long wires from your electrolytic
(requiring bypass capacitors on the bridge)
why not mount the electrolytic(s) on the bridge?

I just like the feel of orange :). Or else i would have to use maroon or just plain black, which doens't stand out

I think i've read somewhere that you should use a mixture of electrolytic and poly caps for decoupling - poly to catch the quick spikes, and the electros mainly for filtering and power supplying.

Well I have seen orange electrical tape where I work for $1.99/roll.(minus 15% employee discout! w00t! cheesey ) I can also get a stack of multiple rolls of different colours (black, blue, red and white) for $3.99. Shipping such a small thing souldn't cost more than $3-5 by oversized letter mail. (4-6weeks) So I'd probably be willing to send you it. But are you sure your local hardware store doesn't carry it? I mean I have seen a whole bunch of these odd colour electrical tapes here in canada. Unfortunantly I don't have the capacitors you are looking for. I have a whole parts drawer filled with poly block type caps that I pulled from power supplies rated for 275VAC at 0.01uf to 1uf. but I don't think I have a matching pair but I'll dig through my parts bins to see if I can find something suitable.

This might be sort of a stupid question, but why not just buy a new rubiks cube? There not that expensive. I got a really nice one without stickers, its all molded plastic for around $5 at the dollar store. mistrust ironic...

Thanks for the offer Dan smile. Much appreciated.
The local hardware store only stocks the standard colours - red, green, blue, etc. I have every colour needed except orange. Been searching for ages, but with no luck...

Forcelabs: I've had this cube for almost 2 years now and i'm rather attached to it. Its an official cube, so it costs about 3 times more than your "dollar store" variant, and has a much smoother and robust mechanism. Its also been worn down *alot*, and is excellent for speedcubing. Buying a new cube means i would have to spend a month 'breaking it in' angry

Sorry no luck on the orange tape. Aparently it was discontinued serveral months ago. I guess people don't like orange electrical tape. I checked a few other places and the closest colour I could find was yellow. Sorry dude but I tried. I found orange duct tape of all things but it has strings in it so it's no good..

Why not just paint it? I've seen spray paint that works on most plastics and it shouldn't rub off too easy.
