Clearing a bit of space in my workshop, finally decided that I'm unlikely to use 10% of this stuff, ever. Heavier stuff is collect, or ship to UK only. Below 2kg I will ship worldwide. I'm not too fussed about the price anything goes for, some things have already gone through my local FreeCycle site, some I'm drip-feeding onto eBay, I'm more concerned that they go to a good home and get used, or abused, in the name of science. My main guideline is that I get at least the shipping cost from any deal (i.e. you pay 2x shipping). Make me an offer.

NEW - 2 off 3 MOT stacks, 240v parallel primaries, secondaries all in series, first two cores grounded, 3rd core live, so no insulation running at more than 2x rated, it has run several hours in air without break-over. The shunts are still in, so there is an element of current limiting, but not enough to run continuously without additional ballast. The two stacks are wired in anti-phase, so running both gives a centre-tapped nominal 12kV rms. I've had my fill of drawing loooong arcs, Jacobs ladders, and I'm not going to build a TC that needs that much grunt. Take one, or both.

NEW - Momentary push switches, 2 c/o contacts, 1/4" thread through panel, 1/2" square body, black 10mm dia round push button cap screws on/off, I have several dozen.

5v reed relays. 0.9" long, 0.2" wide, through hole 0.2" pitch, 600ohm coil, 5v nominal supply, integral diode, Pickering type 107. The N/O contacts are code 828, I think the 2 means low voltage contact material, but I don't know what the 8s mean. Contacts rated 200v, 10watts. My company still buys the 3.3v version at £3.50 a go. These are ex-equipment. I have 20 on eBay at £1 starting bid. I have 100s more.

Ferrite cores, gap-less, 300mT Bsat at DC, 200kHz nominal operating freq. You could probably get a hundred watts through one as an inverter, also ideal for isolated gate drive transformers. I have many 10s. I can measure the AL next week if anyone is interested.

Audio matching transformer, 6" x 6" x 5" including feet. Rated 25watts, 20Hz to 20kHz. The following centre-tapped windings are available, 8, 20, 80, 200, 800, 2k, 8k and 20k ohms. Gardners type GR63112. It overloads the kitchen scales, so it's more than 5kg, but not a lot more. I've been keeping it on the off-chance that I might drive an ignition coil at audio from a power-amp, but ...

Toroidal mains transformers, two 120v primaries for 120 or 240v operation. Various secondaries, various powers, ask and I'll see what I've got in detail.

A crate-load of photo-flash caps, sell by the kg.

Two very low inductance 12mF 50v caps built for low voltage motor H bridge application, made from 24 paralleled low inductance Rubicon ZL series 470uF caps, maybe they'd be better off on a robot-builders site?

A dozen 10000uF 63v caps, 15000uF 40v caps

Iron toroidal cores, not certain how useful, as they are about 0.5v/turn at 50Hz, about 2.5" o/d and 1" thick. It is possible to wind toroidals without a machine, but a drag for more than a few 10s of turns.

Two off heat-sinked case with integral mains to 15v AC mains transformer, about 4" footprint and 8" tall. Did contain the electronics for a 50 watt RF soldering iron, but might house a nice 12v battery charger, small amplifier, ignition coil or flyback supply.

I'm sure I'll find more stuff as I dig down further.
