Meh, the Eminence Kappa Pro 15" is only $155 from Zzounds, and it has a sensitivity of around 94dB. Even the Kilomax is only $299 or something.
I don't think these speakers are designed for uber low sub-bass though. Eminence recommend using them in ported cabinets and spec a usable lower limit of 40Hz. There are really two different schools of design. PA style drivers try and maximise sensitivity with lightish paper cones, at the expense of losing the very lowest bass, unless they're mounted in huge horn-loaded cabinets.
The driver you originally posted is typical of the home theatre/car sub school of design. It probably uses a very heavy cone and dust cap to lower its resonant frequency so it can really kick out low bass from a small box. But the unavoidable side effect of that is a loss of sensitivity. That doesn't matter in home theatre where your neighbours will kill you long before you burn out a voice coil.
I wasn't questioning whether the rest of your system could keep up with the sub. I was asking you to consider whether the eigenmodes of your listening room are suitable for deep bass before you spend too much effort building a huge sub.
