That's gross! :-X I presume it was liquidised by shock waves? I've seen Marx discharges used to shatter rock, so I'm not surprised by the effect on a banana.
Maybe Heston Blumenthal will adopt this as a cooking method.

PS. I suspect the effect might be mechanical rather than chemical a well - perhaps the arcs are getting underneath the peel and simply pummeling the bannana flesh to death.
